Work Comp Captive Insurance Programs: 

Client owned insurance captives are typically controlled by the captive owners (client), who are the principal beneficiaries.  Captives operate in much the same way as a typical insurance company, but the owner(s)' participate in the risk and, conversely, build equity within the captive if losses are controlled.  For larger premiums averaging less than 40% in losses, a captive can potentially lead to increased premium savings, underwriting profits, and investment income.
